Steve Burr was left to bemoan Harriers' 2-1 defeat to Barrow on Tuesday night after his side threw away a lead to fall to a second loss to the Cumbrians in less than a fortnight.
Good work from Chris McPhee forced an own goal after just seven minutes at Aggborough as Harriers pushed Barrow all the way in the first half.
Goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson made several good saves whilst Brian Smikle hit the woodwork, the hosts almost dominant in the opening 45 minutes.
But that was a half that ended with them behind - two more gifted goals allowing Jason Walker to overturn the deficit for the visitors.
"I thought we played very well in the first half and got off to a good start," Burr said, following the match.
"But we lost possession and they got an equaliser, and the second goal was disappointing to say the least.
"You have got to concentrate, whatever part of the pitch you're on. There was no danger at all and it is disappointing because when it happens you can see the confidence going out of the lads.
"We tried to pick them up at half time because we had played well in the first half, there's no question about that.
"But again in the second half we have just huffed and puffed our way through without creating too many opportunities."
Burr, who steers his side into a Worcestershire Senior Cup Final at Aggborough on Thursday prior to the final League game of the season away at Mansfield on Saturday, added: "I always think it is a test of character when things aren't going so well.
"Without going overboard and being too critical of the players, I haven't really seen a lot of character when things have gone against us a little bit and that is disappointing."
