Boss Steve Burr believes the character of his Harriers side shone through at Wrexham on Tuesday night as they came from 2-0 down to claim a point at the Racecourse Ground.
The gaffer admitted he was ready to pack up and depart that particular corner of Wales after ten minutes, by which stage the hosts found themselves two to the good thanks to efforts from Daniel Brown and ex-Harrier Dean Keates.
But the young visitors dug deep and struck back before the interval, Nick Wright grabbing the first of his two for the night as Harriers slowly turned the home crowed.
A share of the spoils came back to Worcestershire and rightly so, according to Burr - and it could have been more.
"After about ten minutes I was ready to go home to be honest!" he quipped.
"[Their] first goal has taken a deflection back in and its gone over Danny, and for the second Keatesey has hit a cracker.
"But there was a lot of character shown by the lads tonight - fair play to them. We shifted things around a little bit because we needed to and we got a goal before half time which gave us a chance.
"In the second half the lads did well again. I didn't see it myself but they are a bit aggrieved that they didn't get a penalty right at the end.
"So we're a bit disappointed with that but after ten minutes, to take a point, we're pleased but overall we should perhaps gone on and won it."
Wright took his tally to three for the season, his second coming just six after the break as he finished superbly past Scott Shearer.
Burr was chuffed for his front men - that is both Wright, and the returning Lee Morris who was superb in his comeback from a hamstring injury.
"It's nice for the forwards to get in amongst the goals and I was pleased to see Nick get a couple tonight," added the boss.
"We've missed Lee; he gets hold of it and is clever with his passes and he has made the two goals tonight.
"He has got through the game okay so hopefully he can get a run in the team."
