Steve Burr was please to have come away from Altrincham with three points on Saturday but the gaffer has admitted that there's still plenty of work ahead for his side.
Callum Gittings scored his second goal of the season just minutes after coming off the bench at Moss Lane whilst Chris McPhee slotted home his first goal of the season to win the game for Harriers.
But in between - and indeed after the winner - the visitors made tough work of holding on to their advantage, and it was towards this the gaffer pointed when speaking after game.
Though leased with a number of aspects of the day, including the performance of debutant Ollie Thorne, Burr was keen to state that improvement is still needed.
"We're pleased with the result today, I thought we made hard work of it," he said.
"We started quite brightly in the first half and had a lot of possession, but we've got to get used to hanging on to a lead - that seems to be a problem for us at the minute.
"Ollie has gone in there and I thought he did quite well but we've just got to have a bit more communication all around the park.
"As I say, we're pleased with the result today because this is a tough place to come but there are a lot of things we still need to improve on."
Burr continued: "I couldn't see whether [the ball for the penalty] hit his hand but we've spoken before about decisions evening themselves out.
"We've been disappointed with a couple of decisions against Tamworth and Newport so it was nice to see something go our way today.
"Danny pulled off two or three good saves towards the end there but that's what he is paid for - I knew for the last five minutes they would throw everything at us and we managed to hold firm which is pleasing."
