BOSS Mark Yates has said that with a little more of an edge in front of goal last night Harriers could have beaten Halifax more comfortably.

On the night it was Ryan Toulson's own goal that handed the hosts a 1-0 success but as he told harriers.co.uk this morning, it's no less than Yates' troops deserved.

"To be fair to Halifax I thought they started really brightly and they caused us quite a few problems, though without really hurting us.

"In the second half I thought we were a bit more like ourselves and had we been a bit more ruthless in front of goal we'd have won the game comfortably.

"The goal was a bit against the run of play at the time to be fair but in the second half we dominated, just without taking one of the many chances that came along so we'll take that, we need a bit of luck because we've been playing decent football as of late and not winning games.

"We had that luck last night but I thought we deserved the win."
