Boss Wants to Keep On Movin'
MARK Yates is hoping his side's progression into the FA Carlsberg Trophy Final will help boost Harriers' chances of also making the Nationwide Conference Play-Offs, with league action getting back underway on Tuesday.
The club's involvement in the Trophy over the course of the season has given then four games in hand over some of the teams above, a great boost with Harriers still just ten points adrift of fifth place with 12 league matches to play - a 36-point haul available.
With Harriers back in action at Tamworth on Tuesday night, boss Yates commented after yesterday's win: "The players have to remain focused from now until the end of the season.
"A lot of people have written off our chance of making the play-offs, but we have 12 games left and I want to finish the season strongly.
"Hopefully we will have the both play-offs and The Final to look forward to in May - I don't want our season to fade out just because we've reached a final."
Not to withdraw his delight at his side's achievement at Northwich, however, he continued: "Once we pulled a goal back, I was confident that we would go through. I was pleased with my players as they never lost their focus.
"I am absolutely delighted to be in the final and hopefully this will spur us on."
