Our Youth side had to be content with a share of the spoils on Wednesday night as it took a wonder strike late on to finally breach a defensive Solihull at Aggborough.
The visitors set out to block from the off and Harriers almost made them pay for it as they had two great early chances.
With 20 minutes gone, it was the away side who took a shock lead - a hopeful ball into the area caught out Joe Hull whose foul left the referee pointing to the spot. Daniel Pitt stepped up and netted the resultant penalty.
Solihull then defended with even greater urgency and must have thought they'd stolen all three points as the game headed to a close, but thankfully sub Robert Thompson-Brown came to the hosts' rescue. On as a sub just 20 minutes earlier, he spotted the goalkeeper off his line and superbly finished from barely inside the opposition half with just seven to go.
Next up for the Kiddy boys, a home game against Highgate United next Monday night, kick-off 7:30pm at Aggborough.
