With over 200 Harriers appearances to his name across two spells, as well as almost 300 Football League appearances, Penn added crucial experience upon re-joining Harriers in November 2018.

Having cemented himself as one of non league’s best prospects during a four year Aggborough spell from 2005 to 2009, Penn made the move to then newly promoted League Two side, Burton Albion.

Having featured extensively for The Brewers, Penn later played for the likes of Cheltenham Town, York City and Gateshead.

It was during a second spell with The Minstermen that Penn decided to return to Aggborough, and additionally formed part of the management team during the second half of the 18/19 season, before being appointed as John Pemberton’s assistant manager for the 19/20 season - 33 year-old Penn remains registered as a player.
