Play-offs: Latest ticket and hospitality

Dates, venues, tickets, hospitality and more – here’s your guide to the play-offs…

Aggborough Stadium (p Darren Musgrove)

Saturday’s match against Bradford Park Avenue is the 42nd and final match of our league season, and, having confirmed a fourth place finish in the table, Harriers will partake in the promotion play-offs.

But much has been said about the new, revised format for the end-of-season lottery. Here, we find out more about what is ahead for teams involved after this coming weekend:

What’s the new format?

New across the National League for this season is a six-team play-off challenge. No more second legs – all matches will be on a one-off basis.

The new six-team format will see Clubs finishing between 2nd and 7th place in the league table at the end of the season compete against each other to determine the second promotion place in each division, and who will claim a place in next season’s National League alongside Salford City.

With second and third place in the table between them already locked in, Harrogate Town and Brackley Town can afford to take a breather on Wednesday – they head to the semi-finals to face the winners of two ‘Eliminator’ matches that pit the teams finishing fourth to seventh together.

Who will we play?

Due to our confirmed fourth placed finish, Harriers will face the team that finishes in seventh place, but the identity of our opponents is far from finalised.

As things stand, as many as five teams could mathematically finish in seventh place when the final whistles are blown on Saturday with  Bradford Park Avenue, Spennymoor Town, York City, Blyth Spartans and, with a mathematical miracle, Boston United all able to finish inside the play-offs.

When are the games?

The structure of the playoffs is as follows…

Vanarama North Eliminators – Wednesday 2nd May

Match A – 5th place vs 6th place – 7.45pm kick-off
Match B – HARRIERS vs 7th place – 7.45pm kick-off

Vanarama North Semi-Finals – Sunday 6th May

HARROGATE TOWN vs winner of Match A – 3pm kick-off
BRACKLEY vs winner of Match B – 3pm kick-off

Vanarama North Promotion Final – Sunday 13th May
Staged at the ground of the highest placed finalist club – 3pm kick-off

All dates and kick-off time are subject to change.

When are tickets for our game on sale?

Harriers will start selling tickets at the normal league match price for the match to be played at Aggborough on May 2nd, immediately after this weekend’s fixture with Bradford Park Avenue (28th April). Tickets will be on sale at that point to Season Ticket holders ONLY upon production of Voucher ‘C’.

General sale for the Eliminator match will begin online from 9am on Sunday, 29th April, and then from the Aggborough ticket office from 11am to 1pm on the same day. Tickets will then be available during normal office hours up to kick-off on Wednesday night.

All supporters will need a ticket to enter the ground. While advance purchase of tickets is not strictly compulsory, it is recommended to avoid lengthy queues on the night of the match itself.

Is there hospitality for the play-offs?

Only a very limited amount! Thanks to your great support, the Restaurant and all Executive Boxes are sold out. However, do you  fancy entertaining some guests? There’s one single Executive package left for the game, in our Ray Mercer Suite, which includes pre-match food for up to 12 people, programmes and parking plus more. Interested? Book up today with Helen on 01562 823 931.

Don’t forget…

Where scores are level after 90 minutes play the winners shall be decided following two periods of 15 minutes extra time and penalties if required.

Before ALL of that, though, there is this weekend’s game against Bradford Park Avenue. Online tickets are available now. The play-offs being as crazy as they are, there’s a chance Avenue could be back in town come Wednesday night!
