TWO late goals from Darlington at Aggborough saw the spoils shared in a dramatic 3-3 draw.
After Andre Brown and James McQuilkin put the reds in control, Darlington struck back in the final seconds of the first half through an own goal.
Harriers did re-establish a two-goal lead as Elton Ngwatala curled home – a lead they should have added further two before the late drama.
The Quakers made it 3-2 with a header from their first chance of half, before Tyrone Williams saw red.
With just two minutes left, a corner saw Darlington equalise to make it 3-3.
In having a goal disallowed at what would have been 4-1, Harriers were in total control for much of the afternoon.
After doing some solid defending, Brown’s fine finish from Pearson’s cross took the ball beyond the Darlington goalkeeper, Ngwatala almost making it two with a near-post finish.
McQuilkin’s goal for 2-0 was a stylish team effort, with Ironside denied by a desperate block second later as Harriers pushed for more.
In the dying seconds of the half, a rare Darlington foray forward saw the ball turned into his own net by the helpless Taylor to give the visitors hope, but Harriers were 3-1 up soon after Ngwatala found room inside the area before bending the ball into the back of the net.
The following seven minutes alone saw Harriers dominate; a well-worked free-kick move saw Horsfall finish smartly only to see the flag raised for offside, before McQuilkin struck wide and a storming counter saw Croasdale sweep the ball into Brown who could only direct a finish off target.
A pivotal 15-minute period then followed and saw the game snatched away from Harriers – Galbraith heading in a cross after a by-line cross, before a coming together of players saw Williams shown a straight red card for his part in an altercation Saunders.
Then, with just two minutes left of normal time, a corner was curled into the mix where the head of Syers was waiting to meet it as he directed it beyond Hall and the defence.
Both teams pushed for a winner but it was Harriers undoubtedly feeling like two points had been dropped come the final whistle.

Cartman 75 Portas 61 Thompson 61JOEL TAYLOR is hungry to see Harriers make amends for last weekend’s FA Cup exit at AFC Fylde when they entertain Darlington on Saturday (3pm).
The 4-2 set-back at Mill Farm brought Harriers’ recent run of form to a shuddering halt.
Now, the team are charged with starting another run of similar ilk.
But they do so in going up against a Quakers side still searching for a first win under new management – something in itself that can prove a challenge.
Defender Taylor picked up his first Harriers goal in the Cup defeat, but insists that’s a day and a result that is firmly behind the squad.
Instead, the firm focus on the training ground has been on this weekend’s return to league action.
Speaking to our official YouTube channel, the former Stoke City man has noted a determination in training in the days after last weekend.

“I think we have all put it behind us now,” he explained.
“We can’t dwell on that game because it is gone now.
“This week the training has been very good.
“We are just looking to go into tomorrow’s game and put it right.
“Darlington have changed their manager but, to be honest, we’re not too fussed about that.
“We’re just focused on going into the game tomorrow strong and positive.”
Positivity, it seems, is a relentlessly important part of that approach.
Taylor added: “That’s the main key going into a game – you can’t really go in feeling negative because there’s only one outcome.
“If you’re positive and gelling together as a team, on the day, I’m sure you can get three points.”
Harriers boss John Eustace confirmed this week that Dan Bradley will be missing this weekend and the next couple of weeks due to a knee injury.
Meanwhile, midfielder Liam Truslove made his return – also from a knee problem – at AFC Fylde last weekend.
Truslove had been missing since August with the issue but took his place on the bench at Mill Farm as steps up his comeback.
Lee Vaughan, it’s hoped, is only a handful of weeks away from being able to do the same as his training programme increases.
Kick-off at Aggborough on Saturday is at 3:00pm.
