Fraser Horsfall was disappointed that Harriers weren’t able to take any points from Saturday’s Aggborough encounter against York City.
The Minstermen travelled to Worcestershire for the second time this season, having faced Harriers in the FA Trophy in November – a 3-1 victory for the Bootham Crescent outfit.
It was the away side who would take the lead in the latest encounter through a superb first half strike from Kallum Griffiths.
Joe Ironside equalised for Harriers with 16 to play, but Scott Burgess put his side back in front nine minutes later to send York home with a victory.
Following the match, Harriers’ defender Fraser Horsfall felt that his team did enough to take a share of the spoils.
“It’s a tough one to take because we thought we played OK – not amazing, but I think we did deserve something from the game,” said Horsfall.
“…they’re two great strikes but we weren’t organised from throw ins…” Fraser Horsfall
“The lads know that it wasn’t quite enough and we’re obviously disappointed.
“We like to play forward and maybe, at times, the balls forward weren’t of high enough quality to Joe [Ironside] and Kane [Richards] up there.
“We know that we need to be winning headers and competing – we know we’re going to get that week in, week out – that’s just a given for me and Ryan Johnson at the back.
“Obviously, they’re two great strikes but we weren’t organised from throw ins, which I’m sure is something that we’ll look at and get right.
“The fans were great today, getting behind the lads and even after game – staying behind and clapping us so we’re very grateful for that”.
